Susan was born and grew up at Banka Banka Station during
war time. She went to primary and high school in Alice
Springs. When she married her husband she went back
to live at Banka Banka Station where she had two children
and worked at the Banka Banka school, in the station's
garden and kitchen setting tables for stockmen. She
divorced her husband and came back to Tennant Creek.

She has been painting with Anyinginyi Arts since 1998.
Susan paints bush tucker, landscapes and "culture"
paintings relating to her homeland Ngappgunpa.
