Louie Nakamara Martin ws born at Muckaty Outstation
(around 100 km north of Tennant Creek) in 1952. She
grew up here and at Banka Banka Station "in the
bush" and did not receive any formal schooling.
Louie first began painting at Kalumpurlpa Outstation
and continued when she moved to Tennant Creek. Louie
paints bushfruits, in particular their trees as well
as "culture" paintings relating to Ngappgunpa.
