Boomerangs produced in the Barkly region are non-returning! Produced primarily for hunting, they are also used for fighting, as a fire lighting saw and, in pairs, as percussion instruments in ceremonies. The natural curve in Dogwood, Mulga, Ironwood and Snappy Gum woods are used to create their convex shape.
